Yom Ha Shoah reminds us of the horrors that Jews and other persecuted groups faced: forced labor, starvation, humiliation, and torture, which often resulted in death. It was a systematic effort to wipe out an entire population from the face of the earth. Many area Jewish communities in May will commemorate Yom Ha Shoah with music, and the story of survivors. The Jewish Community library has a large collection of Fiction and Non-Fiction books about the Holocaust. The Library is part of the IndyPL Shared System.
